Urban Sketching Adventure and Designing a Sequence of Pages

In this demo (available in full once you purchase the course) I take you on a fun urban sketching adventure into the centre of Sydney.

I show you how I decide on the placement of my sketches – where I start sketching, how I decide on the perimeter of my sketches – and how I intentionally leave lots of white space.

Once I’m back home I explain how I finish off the pages.

This includes:

  • creating a balance between horizontal and vertical elements,
  • adding text and headings,
  • drawing a map and
  • aligning elements between spreads so the pages read as the one event in my sketchbook.
